Before your treatment

Prior to your permanent cosmetic enhancement, think about the look that you wish to achieve. As experts in the field of color analysis and makeovers, we ensure that the correct colors and styles are chosen for you, however, you are part of the decision-making process.

Permanent cosmetic enhancements normally require multiple application sessions. To achieve the best results, you will be required to return for at least one control procedure AT 2 MONTHS after the initial application.

Be prepared for the color intensity to be significantly sharper and darker immediately after the procedure. This will subside and become softer as the skin heals. This process can take up to fourteen days.

Avoid making an appointment when you are on your periods.

· Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may be swollen or red, you are advised not to make social plans on the day of your enhancement.

· Please wear your normal make-up to your enhancement appointment.

· If you arrive at your appointment with dry and chapped lips, we will turn you away. Please drink plenty of water and moisturize your lips well before your appointment.

· Do not drink coffee before your lips appointment.

· Do not take aspirin or Ibuprofen 2 days prior your enhancement.

· Do not discontinue any medication before consulting your doctor.

· Keep alcohol intake to a minimum of 2 days prior to your enhancement.

· A sensitivity test will be performed unless waived upon request.

· Do not use AHA skincare products close to the enhancement area 2 weeks prior to and after your procedure.

After Care

How to take care of your brows for the next 7 to 10 days

Due to the high risk of scarring. No touch-up appointment can be rescheduled in less than 30 days.

Q: WHAT IS THE HEALING PROCESS LIKE?

Allow freshly ombre eyebrows seven to ten days to heal. Slight redness and/or discomfort may be present for the first 3 days. This will revolve around itself. Swelling will impact their symmetry over the next week and they shrink 10 to 15 % once healed. The day after your procedure, the colour will appear darker as it begins healing.

Once flaking is completed, there will still be a nearly invisible layer of skin that will make your colour appear faded. Within the first 2 weeks after flaking, you will notice some of the colour coming back through as the skin continues to repair itself. The true colour will be visible 1 month after each application, and the colour may vary according to proper aftercare, skin tones, skin type, age and skin conditions. Some skins accept colour more readily than others and no guarantee of an exact effect or colour can be given.

ON THE DAY OF (DAY 1)

  • Oily skin cleans the skin every 30 min for the first 3 hours (total 6 times) after the procedure using damp cotton (using clean bottled water) and washing hands before each cleaning time.

  • Dry skin cleans every hour for the first 3 hours (total of 3 times). Right after the last wipe apply a thin layer of Aquaphor Healing Ointment (available for purchase in any grocery store, in the kids’ section).

  • Before bed, oily skin may wash using lukewarm water very gently removing the lymph, pat dry, and applying ointment.

  • Dry skin may not wash if the skin does not have visible lymph on top of the skin, just make sure your skin is moist before bed.

Day 2

  • Oily or dry skin may wash one more time if the skin eliminated lymph during the night, pat dry and apply a thin layer of ointment. If no lymph then just keep the eyebrows hydrated with the ointment as needed, which means apply ointment only when you feel the skin is dry.

Day 3 to 10

  • Everyone’s skin has its own healing process and duration. It is recommended to apply ointment as long as the skin is still scabbed, and even after. The ointment will help your skin regenerate faster and better.

From Day 1 to Day 7 or even longer (until the scabs are gone)

  • AVOID makeup, excessive sweating, no sauna, no pools, no sunbathing, do not PEEL the scabs at all (you may cause scarring if otherwise)

  • Do not apply anything besides Aquaphor ointment or the aftercare given such as Vaseline, antibiotic creams, Neosporin, etc. Grapeseed oil may be used to substitute Aquaphor.

  • During 4 weeks after the procedure is best to not use creams that contain acids or ingredients that will lighten or exfoliate the skin. The touch-up is best to be done 8 weeks later and allows extra time for clients that heal longer, also give extra healing time for mature clients as well.

The following must be avoided during all 14 days post-procedure:

Increased sweating or practicing sports

Swimming, Hot sauna, hot bath, or jacuzzi

Sun tanning or salon tanning - UV/UVA Rays or chemicals as they have been known to cause a shift in color and premature fading

Any laser or chemical treatments or peelings, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic acid on the face or neck

Performing tasks related to heavy household cleaning such as garage or basement cleaning where there is a lot of airborne debris

Drinking alcohol in excess may lead to slow healing of wounds

Driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, or motorcycles

PLEASE DO NOT PUT ON EYEBROWS MAKE UP FOR THE FIRST 10 DAYS

*We use the same aftercare instruction for the touch-up session
